The Indianapolis Fringe Festival is back for its 14th year! From Aug. 16-26, the festival boasts more than 60 shows across 11 days up and down Mass Ave! Featuring both local performers and those across the country, this celebration of live and edgy theatre has something everyone can enjoy including dance, improv, comedy and even magic.
IndyFringe is proud to be a part of the global community of Fringe Festivals, more than 250 worldwide, including the 95 festivals from the United States and Canada!
With more than 350 performances taking place in the span of a week and a half, the times for each show will vary from day to day, making sure that everyone is able to sample as many different shows as possible! The shows themselves will be taking place in the IndyFringe’s Basile and Indy Eleven Theatres (719 E St Clair Street), FireFighters Union Hall (two stages – 748 Mass Ave), ComedySportz (721 Mass Ave), and the newly reopened and renovated District Theatre (627 Mass Ave).
The IndyFringe Beer Tent will also be back this year, where you can enjoy a cold beverage and some live music between shows outside the FireFighters Local 416 Union Hall on the corner of College and St Clair – a true hub of the festival! Please also remember to pay homage (and tips!) to the buskers up and down Mass Ave! There is always something new and exciting to see while you’re walking between shows.
For more information about participating shows, visit www.indyfringe.org – tickets are $15 for adults, $12 for students and seniors, and $10 for children under the age of 12. Printed programs will also be made available the last week of July, which will serve as your guide to all things festival! Keep an eye out Mass Ave for the release of the coveted festival programs. Parking during the festival will be limited, so please plan in advance.
