This is my third year reviewing for Indy Fringe Talks, and my third year of seeing Circle City Tap do their stuff. I knew I’d like the show, I just didn’t how much I’d like the show. Circle City Tap’s “One US’ is combination of spoken word, multimedia and tap dancing took the audience on trip through the exploration of freedom in America. This high-energy, family-friendly show had dancers tapping to the Beastie Boys, Beyonce, Michael Jackson and more. The Young Hoofers (tweens and young teens) also danced, and their performance shows that the Circle City Tap Company will have depth for years to come.
While the entire show was well-performed, the finale is what took my breath away. Fans of the Hamilton Mixtape, go see this show. I have never seen and heard tap dancing sync so well to a song. This is a number that will stick with you long after the show is over.
Circle City Tap has created a well-crafted show suitable for all ages, showcasing popular as well as less-known music.
