The Last Man is a look into the future – the years 2094 and 2115 to be exact. Voicemails from the future, AI robots who look just like people (not unlike the Good Place) and a nod to the year 1972 all come together for an interesting romp through the future. What if your phone could call you when it was off? What if you could call your future self? It’s impossible to review the show without giving it away, but just know it all comes together with a talented cast and good storytelling. The warning for ages 12 & up is more of a suggestion – I’m not sure kids younger than twelve would get it/understand. This is enough of a mind-twister though to keep teens engaged, and might make them think twice about automation in the future.
