Sally Perkins was a smash hit (or so I heard while walking the Mass Ave strip this weekend) during the festival’s Opening Night performer showcase on Wednesday night. As the oldest of three sisters, my interest was particularly piqued to learn what the youngest of three sisters had to say during “The Sibling Staircase” at the Indy Eleven Theater. I wasn’t the only one either; the place was packed on Saturday evening.

The youngest daughter Sally started off her show with an audience survey to help identify the siblings in the audience. Believe it or not, it was surprisingly varied! She then told us about her older sisters (from her perspective, which was hilarious), shared some cool lore about Greek goddesses, and more. It took a full minute for the applause to die down after Sally took her bow. I wish my sisters could have been there to laugh along with me.

“As hard is it for you oldest siblings to believe, it’s not always roses at the bottom of the sibling staircase,” she began. You’ll have to see it for yourself to learn how it ends. You can purchase tickets for “Sibling Staircase” at the Indy Eleven Theater online, at theater box offices (cash only) and by phone. You can also purchase tickets from the Indy Fringe office.
